Minister says PTI and Buzdar would profit from NAB bill
Following that, during the press conference, the interior minister reacted to PTI Chairman Imran Khan's charges concerning the revisions to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law.
According to Sanaullah, the government has eliminated the anti-graft watchdog's capacity to win 90-day detention by altering the legislation. "PTI [...] and Usman Buzdar would also gain from it."
According to the interior minister, Khan believes that no one can be detained now that the NAB statute has been amended. "You (Imran Khan) should be pleased, even if you are not arrested."
"The prior laws were still in effect in your administration. What exactly did you do? In the previous 3.5 years, who have you been able to prove a case against?" The ministry of the interior inquired.
"The prior laws were still in effect in your administration. What exactly did you do? In the previous 3.5 years, who have you been able to prove a case against?" The ministry of the interior inquired.
The interior minister claimed Khan abused the institutions to frame his political opponents, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The former prime minister had already called for existing authorities to be imprisoned for "shamelessly" enacting the NAB changes.
"They should be imprisoned for their shamelessness." Nobody can enact such laws as this administration has," the PTI chairman stated during a news briefing.
Sanaullah stated, echoing Legislation Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, that the new NAB law incorporates 85 percent of the reforms made by the PTI through ordinances.
